Website Header Work in Progress

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2378/2077467997_fd5e43bacf_o.jpg I'm working on a website redesign and this is how I have my header right now. I would appreciate any critiques on this how it is now. I would like to make any necessary art changes now, before I start trying to make this work in a webs...

Rain in China, Sketches and a Pumpkin

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2282/1875631548_8d7ee82217_o.jpg I recently finished this for a kids magazine. It's my first real try at rain. Does anyone have any tips/tricks/critiques? http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2025/1875630438_c66f09c41a_b.jpg Some recent sketches. http://farm3.static.flickr....

I meant stealing in the "I'm acknowledging that I have taken something this artist does and I now use it as my own." I have a sarcastic way of saying things and it doesn't come across as well when I type. I know that you meant nothing bad. I do enjoy Craig Thompson but I get tired of using ink and b...

I just realized that those big hardback books we are reading are Harry Potter books. I think we were re-reading all of them to get ready for the last one (which I really enjoyed and even got a little teary-eyed in the epilogue). Our two-year old daughter was taking a nap during the "comic time". Sid...

I've seen Hempel's stuff before, but I never identified the artist. I totally see the similarities and I love his linework. Maybe I should steal more from him...

Toot Comic

Image
I started this a few months ago (my baby daughter in the comic is now 6 months old and much bigger and more active). Sadly this actually happened.

Thanks guys. I really love the color on this. And the hair pattern is great, as always.

Comic Convention and Ultimate Frisbear illustrations

http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1062/1354989371_b330c80d8c_o.jpg This is an illustration for the free Kansas City newspaper "The Pitch" . It is a little promo for a comic convention that is mentioned in the paper. I think that they are all identifiable characters except for the cat eared chick (I wa...

Stupid comic

http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1078/974110740_224395c831.jpg I did this comic as a background for a magazine illustration. I ended up liking the comic a little more than the complete illustration (plus it wasn't my normal style and I'm not prepared to switch my style in that direction.) Enjoy the d...
