I guess I'll take a stab at this. I know what it's like when you're looking for some constructive criticism and no one has anything to say. whether they hate it love it, they just don't say anything! I like you're designs, I feel like they have a lot of meaning behind them that I dont really underst...

Pens

A pen's a pen, right? I notice on a lot of websites people use fancy pens with expensive nibs etc. But are they really any better? Maybe I'm wrong, are they cheaper? I had to buy one of those expensive rapidograph pens for class and I was afraid to use it because the damn thing cost so much! Anyway ...

Looks good to start. One thing to remember with water colors is you're not just filling in the space! I mean don't treat your drawing as a coloring book, kind of try to build up the form through washes. Work in a very toned down wash then build up layers which will darken your previous washes. Also ...

Haha, I like the second one a lot. But I'm not too sure I understand the punchline on the first comic. Is that cat refering to the kids being boring and therefore he sleeps all day? Lookin good though

I recently watched Jackie Chan's movie Wheels on Meals and oldie but goody. Even thought I own it and have seen it a couple times I'd forgotten how awesome it was. You can check out a review of it here, http://www.kungfucinema.com//reviews/wheelsonmeals.htm . The final fight scene's one of my top fa...

Interisting use of lighting effects, the colors in some of those desert scenes are nice. All I have to say is try to stay away from that kind of, "look what I can do with Photoshop effects and filters", it can come off amaturish. Also pay a little more attention on how light really casts shadows. Yo...

Best spots in NYC

Hey, I dunno how many people here are from NY, so this thread might die fast... but what are you're favorite resturaunts in NY? I'm gunna have to say Doyers Vietnamese resturaunt on Doyers St in Manhattan. Runs about $6-$10 for a meal. In terms of Vietnamese food I think it's pretty Americanized, bu...

Oh, if they're just reruns I'd rather they just not have them. I love Calvin and Hobbes but when they try to breath life back into old strips like that I think it takes away from them, ie. Peanuts. I know one of the reasons Watterson stopped making his strip is because newspapers kept downsizing the...

The feel of his expression I get is kind of a, "oh, she's gone, whatever..." Also on the perspective note, I think it's still off a bit. Traditionally the vanishing points are put on a level horision ground or a plane parallel to the ground of your drawing. Though I always eyeball my perspective so ...
