I love the combination of of all your different forms of media. I used to be a big from-scratch model builder when i was younger so these really bring back some memories.
What type of camera are you using?

one nite in mongkok is a really great film in my opinion. http://youtube.com/watch?v=T-sRZRrUN_0 i saw it a long time ago, so it's a few years old now but i've been looking to pick up to see it again. I was actually wondering is anyone had seen the us release and noticed if there were any changes fr...

I dunno any font that would work any better, but i like the weight of your pen/brush strokes for the drawings and i think it'd be nice to see that also in the words. I always like hand written letters, it keeps the artists style throughout. I like the benday dot patterns, and slightly unaligned regi...

hk cinema appreciation

Ok, so for a little while the 'movies you've recently seen' thread turned into a jet li appreciation thread. by request of kazu and since it does deserve it's own thread i present the hk cinema appreciation thread. I called it hk, because that's where the topic started, but we can make this thread o...

Don't get me wrong gaudog, I thought they were good movies too and own both hero and fearless. I agree the old hk style is phasing out for higher production big movies and you can't blame any actor for following the trend especially if they want to maintain a career in films. Although I feel that of...

i dunno if he's making a comeback, hero is pretty old(2002). And if his more recent period films are a comback they're much to different than the older period films to compare, movies like hero and fearless fall into the high production epic category with a lot of wow effects and something is lost w...

fong sai yuk one and two are really funny, you'll probably only be able to find them in the US as the legend and the legend two unless you go find a bootleg or order them online. I really hate how much the movies are butchered when they come to the US, anyway i just thought i'd throw the american ti...

Jet Li is so completely the wrong person to play the Monkey King. Sure he's an excellent martial artist, but the guy can only play one character- and that character is not the irreverent egomaniacal loud-mouthed Sun Wukong. I agree his acting isn't the greatest, he tends to fall into the category o...

recently picked up and watched 'last hero in china' and 'kung fu colt master'. being a huge jet li fan i have to say his older period films are where it's at. last hero in china continues with li as the character wong fei hung with more comedy than the ouatic series. He ends up opening up the po chi...

brings to mind some pretty terrible moments in history, what with the mushroom clouds and Japanese flag. I assume you understand the significance of the two togather? Is there any background info for the illustration?

Yo, I love the maxx. I think I see the similarities by not drawing the eyes. but that's a stretch. I saw this same post in the illustration forum and agree with franks post about working on the layout, scale and shape of the panels might help a lot. I'm also wondering about the black background, the...
