Thank you for your suggestions. It was a piece of compound cardboard: flat sheet, wavy sheet, flat sheet; so the top flat sheet buckled slightly between the ridges of the wavy sheet. I was bringing my oil painting inside to scan it and post the image here, when the wind kicked up and blew it into my dad's koi pond. I fished (ha) it out right away, but it was thoroughly soaked. I gently patted it dry with a thick towel then placed it between heavy books and turned the heater on. ...

I like the illustration. Just some thoughts, it seems like the pattern on the tarp/blanket should curve to the shape of the load. Also I feel like the cobblestones/asphalt looks to large. Perhaps having the cobblestones (I assume that what they are) get smaller in the back to indicate distance.

Hey, you drew a picture of my old boss :D

The picture really looks great. I love the eyes because they're looking at you, but not looking at you, if that makes any sense? And the teeth are look very organic.
