I finally found a copy and I'm reading it now. It's pretty cool! Maybe I should watch the show some time? It will be worth your time. Especially the second half of Season 2 (pretty much once Toph joins the cast it's ALL GOOD). I'm biased cuz I'm on payroll...but honestly I was very skeptic of the s...

I managed to pick up an issue the other day. The stories and art were fantastic! You can really feel the love everyone has for the series. Is there an issue #3 on the way? Thanks!! No plans for a 3rd magazine yet. Really depends on how this one sells. Avatar still isn't a household name like Sponge...

Flight artists in Avatar Season 3 Magazine

Sorry for such an image heavy post! But I figured since several Flight regulars had art in the new Avatar: The Last Airbender magazine (on newsstands now!) that it would be fun to share some pages here. Hope the artists don't mind! It was a huge thrill to work on this magazine since I'm a huge fan o...

Just when I was starting to get bored of videogames...Michel you rocked my world! It reminds me of those shorts you did for Nickelodeon Halloween (which I still often think about and heard someone recently reference in a meeting!) only now they are playable!
Can't wait!!

I liked the scene in the movie where Remy is offered the chance to go home to his family or back to the apartment with Linguini, and instead he chooses to walk off by himself down his own path. If the choice is between his art or his family he chose neither. Or something perhaps in between? That’s t...

Well I don't think any TV version could have been true to his vision. Because he felt animation would have to show you Hobbes coming to life or some transition from toy to tiger. In comics it happens between the panels. And whether Hobbes is real or not depends on the character. Comics are more inte...

I've been reading Stan Sakai's Usagi Yojimbo. It's a samurai story, and so a lot of cartoon people die, but the violence is very stylized and cartoony. (The characters get little cartoon skulls in balloons above their heads when they die...) Usagi is great for older kids. I used to love that and Se...

Do you guys know of some other pretty solid graphic novels other than like Bone that would be good for kids? Jellaby comes directly to mind. A great all ages fantasy comic I recommend is the Akiko graphic novels by Mark Crilley: http://www.cosmictherapy.com/akiko.html http://www.realmsend.com/Nicke...

I think it's more about being appropriate for Parents and Book Buyers than the kids themselves. Kids often love violence. But many parents won't buy a violent book or movie for a kid. They go to the kids book section because there is a relationship of trust. They'll buy something from Disney or Nick...

I keep hearing this was pretty good. Perhaps I shall go see it before it comes out on DVD. I think TMNT is something that's hard to trust reviews on because everyone probably has a different mix of nostalgia based on their turtles entry point: B&W indy comics vs. full color Archie comic version, ea...
