of beast and men

Nothing too fancy about the poses - it's more character design than pinups. These are for a project I'm writing/illustrating called "Of Beast And Men." dogmen... http://www.jaredbivens.com/kenden.jpg and another warrior to go with my winter warrior post... http://www.jaredbivens.com/images/hatsu.jpg

new western horror anthology

Here's a preview of five pages I did last week for a new anthology called Western Tales of Terror . I was brought onto the project late so I only had six days to work on them before the issue one deadline, but I'm happy with the way they turned out. http://www.jaredbivens.com/page1wtot.jpg http://ww...

thanks everyone.
Do I see a little Tom Cruise in one of those inks :?:
Ha! He does look a little like Tom Cruise - weird. Maybe it's a subconcious thing - I like his movies.

Oberon

These are some drawings I did for a book I'm working on called Oberon: a Castle in the Sky . I thought you guys and gals might appreciate the cartoony style more than most other boards I visit. The first and last one are pen and marker - the rest are pencil with digital color. http://www.jaredbivens...

I just want to add how excited I am about Flght. I just found out about it a couple hours ago when I saw the comicbookresources preview and already it's the book I'm looking forward to most of anything scheduled for release this summer. I can't wait!

volume 2, etc. releases

Now that you have a publisher and are already working on follow-up volumes of the book, how often do you think fans will get to see new volumes in print? Is it annual, quarterly, etc.? Or has it even been decided yet? Also will each volume be about the same number of pages as the first?

Van Helsing and Chronicles of Riddick both have animated DVDs in stores that tells a little back story to both of the films. I have a feeling more and more movies are gonna follow this trend ever since the success of the animatrix.

I've never seen such great special effects for such a horrible movie. On the bright side there was a great preview for a new anime coming out this summer called "Steam Boy". It looks fantastic.
