Re: 6-Commando
I agree with Joost on the colors loosing the details of the line work. Your line work is so impressive that I'd suggest using a color pallet that still shows off the lines. Some ways you can do this is just lightening up the shadow pass a bit. Perhaps instead of just using a black layer with opacity...

Re: Coffee Table Comics
Ozge, thanks for the question. could you say a couple words about why you call your comics coffee table comics? Well, I went to the San Diego comic con in 2006 after having a hiatus for about 10 years. I looked around the whole con and only found two books that I bought. I was inspired to start draw...

Re: Thread de Vear
Vear, Wow, these are nice picture on your thread. I like the colors you use. The non-line style is always an interesting one for me. When I compare your sketch to the colored version on the 4 heads I notice that the facial hair is slightly lost in the color. The right guy especially looks like he ju...

reMIND - a graphic novel
Hey all, I've been working on a graphic novel for about 3 years now in my free time. I'm getting close to finishing it but still another year till I have it all colored. I'll try to post some of my progress, sketches and finished pages here. I'd love to get feedback too. You can also see more on my ...

Re: 6-Commando
Mr. Average, I'm really loving this new black and white page. I'm curious what it will look like when you add the color. What you are doing with the solid lines feels similar to stuff in ProjectWaldo http://projectwaldo.blogspot.com/ . It's a blog that I have been obsessed with over the last few day...

Re: Coffee Table Comics
I am selling issue 2 at Indy Planet and issue 3 will be there after I sell the copies I ordered. Issue 1 was printed on a press so I'm just slowly selling off what I have left through my site. What books do you have listed at Indy Planet?

Re: Coffee Table Comics
Thanks Kazu! I've really been having fun in your forum. What you have done in the comics world is very inspiring. Seth - Well, you hit the nail on the head with the "looser Todd McFarlane" comment. I was trying to imitate the look of Spawn in those first few pages, then turn him into to worthless va...

Re: Coffee Table Comics
Thanks for the link to Ralph Steadman. I dug around his site for a while looking at all his crazy stuff. I really like the feel of it too. I've seen his work all over the place but never put a name to it. Thanks for the great info. I'm also glad you like the inside pages of Phobos. I hate it when a ...
