Wow you guys all have great taste! I came here to change all that. Pride & Prejudice - This is my most recent favorite. I bought it on a whim at a store closing sale, and have watched it oh... I don't know. At least fifty times since then (which was only a couple weeks ago)! It reminded me that I l...

Mr Cow - hehe, well... I would've said the same things he did but it's been a couple days now since I saw the film so my opinion isn't quite as heated. But still a little smokin'... >_<

Michel - Your movie review system is very much like Becky's, too! ;)

Ah... I think Kazu said everything that I think about the film too, but I just have to say something about this: i can't help but make comparisons to anton ego! I really really don't like it when critics are criticized in a story or a movie. It always feels to me like a cop out, as if saying "if you...

inking was done so that the image would hold up if it had to be photocopied a lot (I think??). Now that there's digital printing it's all a stylistic choice. I still enjoy the sharp clarity of inked linework, but if you like the look of pencil better, go for it! I don't think it's the tool you're us...

I had to take figure drawing classes, but I'm more of a "just try it and see if it does anything for me" type of student. I think like Michel, I just enjoyed trying to interpret what I saw in front of me, whether it was accurate or not. I still like doing that, but it never really teaches me how to ...

waiting for the bus

http://www.felaxx.com/waitingforbus.jpg For some reason I have a lot of fond memories of waiting for the bus in Flushing, so I thought I'd impose some of those feelings onto the two main characters from my Sorcerers & Secretaries book. Can you tell which ones they are? If you haven't read the book,...

Not sure about #1, maybe she was too shocked? But as for #2, they showed a brief news clipping on a tv in a bus in the beginning. The rest of the major cities of the world fell into chaos and anarchy as people lost hope for survival of the species, with Britain being the only city still trying to go...

Yes, don't let the manga vs. comics wars taint your reading experiences. In the end it's all a matter a taste, it's like arguing whether Mexican or Chinese food is better. Either you like it or you don't! =P I'm looking forward to the future though, the more cultural influences for comics the better...
