I thought i would take a minute and talk about the scope of this story and my intentions. This thing is going to be quite an epic. It's been a story that's been rolling in my mind for years and was largely based on my grandfather's death. It has continued to grow and grow into this idea that I can't...

Thanks for the compliments on the paintings. I loves my paints... and my comics for that matter.

I think these are pretty darn funny. It's my kind of humor so for me it works. How have others responded to them? Have these run in the newspaper yet?

Prodigy Grey

I wanted to recommend an online graphic novel "Prodigy Grey". It can be found at www.prodigygrey.com It's a pretty cool concept about a post apocalyptic earth and a whole lot of crazy happenings. But it is not what you'd think much at all. Nathan, the artist and writer, is getting his feet grounded ...

Ah, the graphic design major and The Spinaker (sp?) school newspaper. I was about to go that route with graphic designing, but I enjoyed painting so much that I stuck with it. I took a few course in that program though. If you get a chance take digital painting with Ladnier. It's a cool course and h...

HOLY! dude you're in Jacksonville, FL? So am I! Were you doing this for UNF? I actually graduated from there a year ago with a degree in Painting and Drawing. Good times good times... Great to have a fellow cartoonist in the same city. I've felt pretty much alone on that front for my whole life. J-v...

I'm waiting for them to create a new font called "jumping off a bridge," so I can start using it based on their say-so. That's messed up LOL! I'm gonna say that for me it's important for the font to fit the work, but whether or not its something everyone uses, as in popular and or hated, isn'...

I laughed both times! The first one bacause as my wife will attest, Lost is my addiction! The second that show starts it's phones off, quiet time! And the second one because I work in television news and I just crack up at what's causing and preventing cancer week to week. HEADLINE! this week cancer...

Actually the font used is Tempus Sans. Its a slightly more dramatized version of papyrus I think. I agree though lettering is often overlooked for its place in storytelling. I find especially lacking in a lot of web comics. I spend an awful lot of time trying to figure out where a particular person ...

Thanks guys for the feedback. :D Deantrippe - I will definately look up stuff on lettering the book, though the way I did these pages is different than what I am doing now. It looks much cleaner. Now I'm doing all of the lettering after I'm done with the art. As for the font, I understand it's diffe...
