Gunwhale (or if it had been in Old Norse: Gunvald.) Looks like you have got your drawings near to the Norse mythology drawings and still got some of your style to it. Gunvald! I had taken a guess on how to translate my whale's name into Old Norse, and it looks like I was pretty much right. I had 'G...

Viking thread, eh? Here's the main Viking from one of my Gunwhale stories-in-progress. "Finn"(means 'wanderer' in Old Norse, I believe) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v438/flatfoot001/Gunwhale/Finn_fullshot_part2.jpg And, here's a drawing I did for my aforementioned story, that was inspired by Vi...

haha, i loves me some pirates! i'm definitely interested to see how the gunwhale transitions to other civilizations, could be really interesting. the only criticism i have is about line variation. and maybe keeping a consistant baseline on your text. otherwise, i think you're doing well! Thanks for...

Here is the first 'weekly' Gunwhale strip, as I guess you would call it. But let me explain more about Gunwhale. He has existed since the beginning of time, and doesn't alter history, but just plays a part in it. That being said, whomever he destroys is not based on GW's partiality. Also, I'm planni...

Cool stuff. I'm reading up on Norse literature for one of my stories--Prose Edda and the Volsung Saga--so I like it. I want to see more. :D

Thanks for all the comments, guys. :D What a premise! This should be crazy fun. What was the inspiration for this? -Seth Um..actually, I used to be in a band, and we broke up. Then one day, I was looking to start a new band with some of the same guys, and I was trying to think of an utterly metallis...

GUNWHALE

This is the first strip for my character, Gunwhale. He's a giant whale that roams the open sea with a shotgun, wreaking havoc and inspiring legends the world over. I hope you enjoy.

Kazu, Michel, thanks for answering. Focusing on improving skill rather than innovating concepts makes a lot more sense, Kazu. My worries about protecting my copyright was more indicative about my fears of "not making it" than it was about actual copyright protection That pretty much sums up my motiv...

Fight for your right...copyright, that is..

Lately, I've been thinking about copyrighting a character and name that I've been working on for a while now. I'm reading up on copyright procedures and registration at the US Copyright Office website, but I just wanted to hear from Kazu, the Flight contributors or just anybody who has copyrighted t...

Bahahahaha.

This is by far, one of the funniest comics I've seen. The pacing, the art, the color, and especially the dialogue is brilliant. I can't wait to see more--and like a previous poster said, it also reminds me a little of C&H. :D

I'm pretty sure the Japanese influence is just for this album. Once you get the album, the folk tale is explained in the liner notes, so I won't spoil it for you. And I think the other song on their Myspace is from a previous album. I'm glad you like them. :D

Anathallo-Floating World

Hello, everybody. I've been reading Copper for a couple of months, and I'm new to the Flight forums. I just thought you guys might like to listen to this band from my home state of Michigan. They have multiple members in the band and use a wide variety of instruments. The only group that I can reaso...
