I like your perspective and layering, as well as your use of blacks. I'd say overall the dialogue and pacing is pretty good, but I do have one hang up. The panel where Thomas grabs the umbrella looks rigid compared to the panels before and after it, and to me, it breaks up the flow. I can see why yo...

Thanks, Will. I'm trying to keep the color real simple--no shading or anything special. Not sure if I want to keep the two guys the same color or not. I think I'll mess around with something that pops out more from the background. New strips. (actually, old ones, but my old scanner makes it real eas...

Thanks Kyle. About the sharpening, I tried, but the lines were just too harsh and jaggy for my taste. I'm coloring some of these and working on new ones for my university's newspaper. I'm excited, both for being in a campus newspaper, and also the fact that I have a deadline that I have to meet. But...

Asterix the Gaul
Anyone read the old Asterix the Gaul series? I'm looking to get into them, as well as get some of the books for my bro for Christmas, and I was looking for recommendations. I want to get him at least one collection translated into Latin.

Hah, I bet Kazu is currently playing Halo 3. 500 games so far? :D I hit that game hard once it came out, but have slowed down on the carnage since my friend sent his 360 in for repairs, because we usually team up online. I also downloaded Marathon: Durandal from Live Arcade recently and beat that. A...

Kyle, thanks for the kind words. I think a short strip like this forces me to choose dialogue wisely in order to fit the panels and clearly set up the joke. And yeah, I admit some of the jokes are going to be a little weird. Oh, and the two letters that meet are a gamma and a beta, right? Her...
