Windows Vista (w/update)

I want to rant, but I'll keep those thoughts to myself. I just thought I'd warn anyone thinking of upgrading... don't! If you really need it, it's best to wait as long as you can until they work some of their issues out. Vista is simply too buggy, it crashes all the time and it's not backwards compa...

Madame Tutli Putli

This looks awesome! I think the eyes tell so much of the story, but take a look for yourself! Madame Tutli Putli About the film: Madame Tutli-Putli boards the night train, weighed down with all her earthly possessions and the ghosts of her past. She travels alone, facing both the kindness and menace...

I suppose it deserves to be mentioned that several Flight creators worked/are working on it!
It makes it all the better and worth seeing. :D

I know Chris Appelhans and Vera Brosgol's names are attached. Anyone else?

Coraline (2008)

Here's another movie I really looking forward to, Neil Gaiman's Coraline . It's an upcoming stop-motion animated film by Laika . Synopsis: Coraline is a young, bored girl who discovers that a bricked-up wall behind a door in her flat leads to another world, with another mother, and another father. L...

I enjoyed the movie. It was fun.

I'm just glad the new spidey suite didn't have nipples on it, because you know... those symbiotic suites are "wacky" and have a mind all their own.

lol

Thanks for the links, James. You can almost get a good sense of what the movie is going to be like from all the painting pinned to the walls.

Re: Inking question...

I'm toying with the idea of using a small brush and india ink, but I don't want to ruin the pages that I've been drawing for the last 2 weeks. Another solution is to scan your pencil work and save a copy to your computer. Convert your artwork to a non-photo (or non-repro) blue and then print it out...

Re: Volver

I'm scared of the gore in Pan's Labyrinth, even though I'm sure it's a very wonderful film I don't remember too much gore in Pan's Labyrinth. Only one scene if I can remember correctly, but I could be mistaken. I just remember it not being as gory as people made it out to be. Volver was a wonderful ...

Yeah, same for me. Usually dubbed movies are more adapted than translated, and the original essence from the creator is always a little bit diluated. That's probably a more accurate way of explaining it. In movies like Howl's Moving Castle , I think the way Disney adapted the movie changed the stor...

It looks like a very interesting project. I recognized your work right away, JP. Your preview page looks great. Any chance you might be able to post a couple more pages of the story? http://cloudtower.com/avatars/just_listening.gif Hmmm... July 10th is a decent deadline. I think I might have an idea...

I thought the Haku's curse was already broken after Sen stomped out the worm thing. From what I remember, the black slug/worm thing that Haku spat out along with the seal was another matter all together. It was a spell by Zeniba that was placed on the seal and was meant to kill whomever stole it. K...

You made some excellent points, Minini. Thank you for correcting me that Haku brought Chihiro to her parents once. It's been so long, I've forgotten that scene. Also the white dragon fact you present is very interesting. Thank you for sharing it. Miyazaki films really do tie in well together. I don'...
