Wow. This is so imaginative and thoughtful and just beautifully done (and my favourite from what I've seen of your work so far!)

Look at the mushroombrellas!! They're just wonderful! And I'm fascinated by the texture on the last one - it's kind of like drippy condensation between double-layered windows. In the middle one, the really clean b/g is so different from the girl and the fire hydrant - the girl's somewhere in between...

These are all beautiful, but I'm particularly enchanted by the second one in the first post - the way the lines are weighted is amazing

jdalton - haha, brainless club indeed. It is a club with many members. joe, y2kin, narishatar - thanks for pointing out the lines - I should probably work from the better quality source file if I'm gonna be messing with the colour balance that much. Aside from the lines, do you think it works better...

because patterns ate my brain

The pattern in her hair took way too much time. But it was pretty relaxing. Classes ended Friday, so now I have a little bit of time to just do some just-because stuff :) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v131/geckochan/hairpattern-orange.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v131/geckochan/hairpatt...

No need, you can have Saskatchewan ^_^ I don't understand either about the lack of comickers in the places you mentioned. I did pick up a pretty creative indie comic in Dublin this past summer (actually that was where I picked up my copy of Flight 1, oddly enough). I wonder why all of the countries ...

Wow. Not that you need even more people to tell you how fantastic this is, but it is. With the background colours you chose, that red is electrifying!

Thanks Vince. I will just have to take you up on that and importune you all with some more artwork then. I go to UBC-O, in BC, (although I like Vancouver more and would rather be there - fairly decent little art community there, I reckon there's probably a few of them on here). And the reason there'...

Wow, I've only just stumbled upon this whole thread, and your comics are just a delight to read, your timing and contrary humour are so spot on!

An introduction and some sketches

This is my first post here, so nice to meet you all! Looking forward to getting lots of inspiration from all you talented people. And so as not to introduce myself empty handed, I thought I'd post a few sketches up - pen sketches, based on some styrofoam heads a classmate brought into class to draw ...
