So Tom and Jerry opened up an ice cream shop, did they? I always wondered what they'd been up to after their film career was over.

I like the title for your strip, by the way.

I realize that I am... unreasonably picky when it comes to backgrounds. But I thought a few photos might help your drawing Asian architecture. http://www.jonathondalton.com/pagoda.jpg Also, it is considered very bad manners (in China at least, I can't speak for other countries) to stick your chopsti...

How do you get your line work to be different colors in the same piece? Like the one where you have the bird who came in the guys bedroom. That one has different color linework. http://www.christinaforshay.com I can't speak for Neil, but when I want to mess with linework colours I make the linework...

Thanks for the comments. - I'm determined to keep the background of the second luch-table panel blank, but I'm undecided on the third panel. I put a pattern in it to fill the space, but maybe I should do a proper background instead. - This is a nice spring day on Mars. Wait until you see what real w...

"Character Study": A Girl from Mars

So I've been posting here for a few weeks and I think it's high time I show some of my art. This comic is meant to be a short "character study," which may eventually become a much longer story if I can ever work out the plot properly. Plus some people might get upset if I abandon my other comic book...

Your colours are soooooooo awesome.
Has anyone else noticed that Finland seems to export more than its fair share of really talented comickers? Maybe it's something in the water up there (maybe I need to go to Finland and start drinking tap water like crazy).

Re: :)

First of all, this cover is incredibly awesome. It took me almost a whole minute of staring at it for me to figure out it wasn't real (it was the identical Flight font that gave it away). "Why the hell do I keep trying?" "Why don't I just throw in the towel and consider some other career avenues?" T...

Nice snow. Snow is cool. And that's a pretty freaky-looking mammoth-creature that monk is riding. Though he doesn't seem to concerned about it I guess.

If there's something that's off in the second panel, I'd say it's her arm proportion. It's too long... Which is I guess what I meant to say. That her arm changes length from one panel to the next. The second panel might not be wrong at all, of course, if that's the length her arm is supposed to be....

Chiang Kai-Shek was a bit of a jerk? (I don't know my Chinese history) Um- not to sidetrack your thread or nothing, but I guess I can't pass up the opportunity to rant about history. Apologies in advance to CKS fans everywhere ('cause he's still got fans). After Sun Yatsen and co. had their revolut...

More polish? Try including a character who's a Polish green grocer or something. No. Hmm... I think I can almost see what they're saying. Let me phrase it in two parts. 1. Do not, under any circumstances, change your style. Your style is perfect the way it is. It reminds me of Taiwanese comics or ca...

What strikes me as the most successful element of both American Gods and Neverwhere is the sense of place. These stories, though escapist fantasy, are in many ways more true than reality. I read Neverwhere soon after arriving in London five months ago and everything I felt about London- the sense of...
