Re: bit and run

These are all really fun and playful. Do you use photoshop for the painting? Nice twist on the characters too.

Maybe our heroes are really the enemy... that's an uncomfortable thought.

Oops, I lost track of this thread for a little while. Here's a fan art I did of someone's original character. I liked that he liked eating black carrots. My artistic license made them huge shiny black carrots.

Campy, your work is always so whimsical. You even made an office chair look fun!

Re: Is fanart discouraged? Here are some of mine

Thanks for the feedback. I'm going to try drawing mirrors again soon. Here's some Wolverine fanart. Except he's a clone and something's gone terribly wrong.

Re: Are all of you full time artists?

Yeah, it sounds hard to be a comic artist full time but it's cool to see that everyone can make the time for comics even tho it doesn't pay the bills. That's true love to me!

Re: a few more pages

The coloring is really soft but is still able to hold up the dark atmosphere you've painted. Can't wait to see where your story goes!

Are all of you full time artists?

Are you guys full time illustrators/comic artists for a living? I've seen some impressive stuff and just was wondering. Well, I know Kazu is but what about the rest of you?

Full time, I'm a web designer even though I love illustration more... but it pays the bills for me to work on my illos at night.

Re: Indy Games

I really loved Braid and also am loving the charm of Machinarium below. It's a short (less than 10 hours) game but the puzzles are quite puzzling and of course the robots are really lovable. Not to mention the backgrounds are painted so beautifully. http://machinarium.net/wallpapers/cover_1280x800.j...

Re: Is fanart discouraged? Here are some of mine

Thanks guys! I partially colored the Braid image yesterday: http://drawthatagain.com/images/kim/color02.jpg I added the paper texture for effect. As for Brave New World, these are the lines I liked. I made the picture feel darker than it was though... Maybe because the book was depressing in general...

Is fanart discouraged? Here are some of mine

Hi, this is my first art post. Do people mostly post their images in the same thread? Along with original art, I also love to draw fanart and I pay homage to almost everything. Do you ever get the feeling that most fanart out there is anime/Twilight related? Not that that's bad. Fanart is the bigges...

Re: Cathedral + Amulet 3 preview

Very nice details, especially with the snow that's caking off the tank-van-convertible as it's chugging along. I must say, I'm really digging the octopus headed man in the front because he's the most different out of everyone. I haven't read any books in the Amulet series but these pics certainly ma...

Re: Type of paper?

I've never actually tried smooth bristol. It's so slick that it always makes me think the ink will slide straight off but I'm going to try it next time. I'm used to inking with a brush so I wonder if the effect is the same? Thanks!

Type of paper?

Hi, I'm new to this forum but I hope to be posting up a lot of art soon for you guys to look at! I wanted to ask you guys though-- what kind of paper do you use when drawing/inking? I use bristol with a vellum finish but when I look real close, there's a bit of bleeding when I ink. Is there somethin...
