Re: A comic
Excellent work. Although I have to say that I feel bad for the Mermaid.

Re: Cathedral + Amulet 3 preview
Beautiful stuff, as always. I JUST got AMULET 2 today and tore through it with glee. (The child of the 80's in my kept playing Stan Bush's "The Touch" in my head during the end. )
Can't wait to see how the story continues! Thanks for the sneak peak!

Wow... I need to stop coming here. I look at work like this and want to just give up and get a job at Taco Bell or something equally give-up-ish.

Thanks for the links, although I admit I don't need to be talked into getting the latest volume of FLIGHT anymore.

I'll certainly say that it can only help. At my last job, I had one of those nice, big cinema displays and the colors were the closest to print that I've even had.
Currently, I'm at home working on my decade + old iMac that's WAY off concerning color calibration and it gives me no end of headaches.

This looks really nice, Derrick. :D You've got an interesting drawing style here, Derrick. I really like that last cover image where she's transforming into a tree. Wow, thanks! I'm a big fan of both of your work, so it means a lot to hear your kind words. While the crummy economy is keeping me fro...

Thanks. And yeah, I'm self-publishing this. I did the usual dog and pony show pitch to other publishers of creator owned material, but there wasn't any interest, so I decided to go ahead with it on my own.

Re: The Wellkeeper
Thanks for the kind words. Personally, I don't care for those flash psudo-animated trailers that pop up all the time. I was inspired by the commercials for the original G.I. Joe comics from MARVEL that were the precursors to the actual animated series. They actually animated scenes from the upcoming...

Re: The Wellkeeper
I wanted to do something a little different to promote The Wellkeeper and since I also love animation, doing an animated movie-style trailer seemed like a fun idea. Wow! It's rare to see something that feels SO unique now-a-days. But the story, art and overall package here hits that mark. Great stuff.

Re: The Wellkeeper
Mr. Average, thanks for the kind words and for noticing my "casting" decisions. I, for one, find that beauty comes in far more diverse shapes and sizes than the usual stereotypical forms we're used to. REGULAR people can be unique and different and still be the lead character. It's always bugged me ...

Dig the textures on that second spread as well as the storytelling.
