Yeah, stay until the end of the credits. Josh, someone asked how the fading to white was done but the guys didn't know, hopefully that will be on a DVD "making of". They did say that Henry Selick wanted everything to be done in stop motion even when it would have been a lot easier to do it CG, and t...

I really liked it and agree with most of what the positive reviews above said. The climax was a little long and didn't pay off for me but I was never bored by the movie. Most of the time I was just being amazed by the beauty of the storytelling, design, and animation. The 3D experience is only pushe...

Wow, very cool designs and poses, they definitely give a good idea of the feel of the comic. The tree drawing doesn't have the same fun and confidence as the characters though, maybe it's because they are so straight up and down and don't have any internal lines for texture. I'm looking forward to s...

Here's a piece of art I just finished for the Gallery 1988 show "Cover Band". Each artist was given an album sleeve to paint on using the cover image as a starting point. I had to break out the old cel vinyls for this one. The album cover didn't take the paint easily and dried super slow (hairdrying...

Like Neil, I thought that this type of movie was played out, but Hellboy 2 proved me wrong. This is the first movie in a long, long time where the CG added to the experience instead of taking away from it. All of the monsters were great, the death of the giant plant monster was such a magical scene....
