For me I "think" in comics and so to translate them into a script and then back to comics seems unnecessary and even detrimental. ...Unless you'd like to be able to share the story with someone else without having to finish it first. Yes, it would be impossible for anyone but me to understand my th...

I have always wondered about the processes of others. Cool. For me I "think" in comics and so to translate them into a script and then back to comics seems unnecessary and even detrimental. I start with an idea or a piece of dialogue or theme and then think it into a story over weeks or months and t...

Jaimie Hernandez In my opinion the greatest cartoonist -- maybe ever. It's all there and near perfect - story, characterization, storytelling, composition, line-work, anatomy, expressions, gestures, pacing, heart, humor -- everything that goes into comics and everything comics can be. Incredible. B...

I just finished reading like... everything on your site. I am not an illustrator guy so my only criticism is that you do the same comic over and over, like the shallow guy/girl who bitches about something that they are doing later in the same page. This is obviously a strong theme and worth revisit...

I read a pretty good book called The War of Art awhile back that is really good at getting you revved up and motivated. It talks about how there is this resistance any time one wants to make a change for the better -- start an exercize regime, change careers, start that art project --- and we have t...

Really awesome. A good movie that just happens to have a superhero in it. The climax reminded me of Robocop 2 but I like Robocop 2 . I predict it'll be the second-best movie in a nerd-friendly summer - next to Wanted . Nothing will match The Incredibles. I agree it begins and ends with The Incredibl...
