Re: The Mal and Chad comic strip is back!
Love it. New style is better. Your linework flows more naturally. Are you doing it traditionally with ink, or all in Photoshop/Manga Studio? (or whatever it's called) Oh, also, I love that the robot speaks barcode. Good stuff.

Re: MEGA WEST (*updated 3/29*)
Mr. Average: Thanks, man. Facial expressions are so crucial to the dialogue, so I'm always conscious of them. It'll take a while, but they'll get better. As I got closer to the end of the issue, my pencils look more tighter and consistent, so I can't wait to ink the later pages. I'm using a pen nib...

Re: MEGA WEST (*updated 3/8*)
Joost: Heh. I've never really read Tintin, but I googled Capt. Haddock, and I can see the similarity. haha. Interesting. Oh, and thanks for the comment about the big panel. So far, it's been one of my favorites. Still trying to get spotting blacks down, so I'm happy with it. By the way, in this wee...

Re: MEGA WEST (*updated 2/26*)
Joost : Yeah, I thought that too. Either in grayscale or color, it should be more apparent. k-9 : That mound is supposed to be the condensation from the milk bottle as he yoinked it away from the table. I'll probably crosshatch that when I go to color it, or just make it slightly darker than the co...

Re: MEGA WEST (*updated 2/22*)
k-9 lives: Thanks man. My friend Sean, who's writing this, will be glad to hear you say that. He wasn't really sure it would work that well (especially the overlay panels of his eyes looking left and right), but I'm glad to hear it does. Joost: Thanks, man. I can't wait to see yours on Monday. I'm ...

Ha. Nice manipulation of scale for the stairs. I also like the detail of the green striped wallpaper blurring in the third and fourth panel.

Re: MEGA WEST
Thanks, guys. I've already got 10 pages fully inked, just posting them regularly for now. I've already got all 30 pages of this first issue pencilled, I'm just waiting to finish the inks for the next 20. Edward Gorey, huh? Interesting. I'm not familiar with his work, but after googling a bit, I can ...

My friend Sean Phelan has been writing the story for a couple of years now, and I have been drawing it for almost as long. Well, it's...
