The moment I heard it might be out, Kitsy and I went searching for it We found it and I didn't put it down until I was finished reading the whole thing! Then we wrote a review of the book to turn some of our readers on to this masterpiece :-) Review is located here . Great work Kazu, Amy and all of ...

Andrew- Yeah, I don't like Microns for the same reason you mention. I've switched to Copics, which are a little pricer. But these still sometimes have erasing problems depending on the type of paper and eraser. Has anyone here found a better substitute? -Tony While I love the Copic line pens, the i...

Tips, Tricks or Secrets to flatting in Photoshop?

Hi all,

Kitsy is in the middle of a project so she asked me to see if anyone out there has any tips, tricks or secrets to flatting in photoshop?

I think she's tried the flattening plug-in but not sure if she liked it or not. Any tips would be appreciated!

thanks!

:-( Sorry to read about your problems with Vista. As a technology coordinator (my "real" job) I've stayed away from early adoption of a lot of stuff. I run the Mac side of things at my job but my colleagues on the other end have their work cut out for them as it is. I can't imagine what Vista is lik...

Not sure what platform you're on, but if you have a Mac and know how to make a webpage with CSS, you could use any text editor and CSSEdit2.5 http://macrabbit.com/ If you want something a little more robust, theres always the all-in-one Coda! If I didn't already own TextMate and CSSEdit, I'd probabl...

We only have 300 and 400 available here. I'd have to order the 500 and the distributor seems to only offer them in in 23" x 29" sheets.... Do they sell the 500 series in a pad where you are? I remember when the 400 was pretty good back in the early 90's I guess they moved the 400 to 500 and made 400...

Kitsy has 3 million (okay maybe not that many) but a ton of sketchbooks. She has one for watercolor stuff, one for plotting out the comic strip, one for ideas, another for something else... too many to keep track of. Most of the stuff for online is done on HP Super Bright White inkjet paper. We do t...

Kawaii is "cute" in Japanese :-)

But its funny because everyone in Hawaii calls it Kauai-con just like you thought. It's actually Kawai-i though.

Now if it were Kowai-con that would be Scary con since Kowai is scary in Japanese....

BTW I make no claims of knowing how to speak Japanese at all...

Kawaii-kon is now over and it was a blast! Met some new friends and a few old friends flew in from the mainland to attend the kon as well. It was interesting selling to this crowd because it's an anime convention and hardly anyone in Hawaii had heard of nemu*nemu until the weeks preceding the conven...

After angeldevil and a few others told me about diamond, I decided to investigate it and see for myself if we could distribute the nemu*nemu book through them... after reading through the scary stuff, I highly doubt we'll be using diamond. If anything we'll make some postcards and ask some of the re...

Yeah I agree totally. Most of the comic shops just order whatever they see in previews so it's a tough call. Kitsy picked up an Alice in Wonderland comic while we were up in LA last year but she never got any other issues because it wasn't mainstream enough. She also wanted to get Hatter M but none ...

The local shop Kitsy and I go to isn't anything like Comics Factory but it does bring in it's share of Manga and "regular" comics. It's been a while since I've read something that has impressed me, aside from Sorcerers and Secretaries which I finally got a chance to pick up last month (for some reas...
