Koko Be Good

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010 by

Jen Wang (Flight 1 & 2) has a new graphic novel coming out through First Second called “Koko Be Good”. For more info, check out this feature on BoingBoing, or read an interview with Jen on the Wall Street Journal blog here.

We have a copy of the book at our studio and it is absolutely gorgeous. Jen is easily one of the best artists working in comics today, and it’s been amazing to see her progress through the years. We’re so proud of her! I highly recommend checking out “Koko Be Good” at your local retailer, or you can pre-order the book on Amazon.

Sorcerers & Secretaries in Italian

Stregoni $ Segretarie

Amy’s first two graphic novels are now being published in Italy by the publisher Renoir Comics. It’s a handsomely produced book, and it collects the entire story arc in a single volume. I hope Tokyopop follows their lead, because I think the story reads best in its entirety. Currently, Amy is writing her first novel, a new iteration of her popular webcomic Reman Mythology. She’s on her second draft and the book is already amazing. I can’t wait to see the final draft!

The prolific and energetic Michel Gagné has just posted a small preview of Zed #8, featuring KRAH, the loudest heavy metal band in the universe. On top of having an epic 36-page story in Flight 4 and producing his own independent comic books, Michel has been hard at work on an upcoming animated feature film.
