Industry Giants 2009

Sunday, May 31st, 2009 by

I’d like to invite those who live in or around the Dallas area, to come and check out the Industry Giants symposium on June 5th and 6th. On June 6th at 3:30pm, I will give a presentation on the making of our work-in-progress video game, Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet. I promise to show lots of gameplay footage.

I will also be signing books and comics on June 5th in the artist alley section. For more info, check out the official website.

Cavemen in Space Close-Up by Joey Weiser

Inspired by folks like Flight‘s own Kazu Kibuishi, I’ve put together a step-by-step guide to how I make a page of Cavemen in Space! This covers a lot of ground that has been brought up from time to time around the Flight Forums and elsewhere, so I thought somebody might find it interesting. Take a look!

Free Comic Book Day 2009

Friday, May 1st, 2009 by

Tomorrow (Saturday, May 2) is Free Comic Book Day! What this means, if you’re in North America, is that your local participating comic book store will be giving away FREE comics! Who doesn’t like free comics?

Some of your local comic book stores will also be hosting some cartoonists, including Flight contributors like Joey Weiser and myself (and even if you’re not in the area, try asking your local comic book store for COMICS FESTIVAL, which contains all-new stories by the likes of Matt Forsythe, Ryan North, John Martz, and me!), who will be available for signings, sketches, and general chit-chat! So stop on by and make sure to grab some free comics!
