Raina Telgemeier and Dave Roman to write shojo X-Men

An exciting announcement from Del Rey and Marvel Comics: Raina Telgemeier and Dave Roman are going to be writing an X-Men shojo (girl) manga, with art by Anzu! This is great news indeed — I can’t think of a team better suited for this job. The first of the two volumes that they’ll be working on will be released in Spring of 2009.

RASL #1 in Previews

“Igloo Head and Tree Head” receives award from the Society of Illustrators

Wow! Scott Campbell’s Flight 4 story, “Igloo Head and Tree Head” was awarded a silver medal from the Society of Illustrators in the Sequential Art category! Scott’s “Cliff Ogres” illustration was also accepted into the book illustration category.

Fablewood Anthology

We’re a little late posting about this, but the release of the Fablewood Anthology is coming up right around the corner in the new year and should still be available for preorder (Diamond order code: FABLEWOOD GN VOL 01, NOV07 3306) — this new fantasy anthology features stories by Flight 4 contributors JP Ahonen and Sarah Mensinga, along with other artists such as Ryan Ottley and Manny Trembley.

Amulet available in stores now!

We’re getting reports that copies of Kazu Kibuishi’s latest graphic novel, Amulet, are starting to appear in book stores, a month earlier than expected! Amazon.com is also reporting that they have copies in stock, so this will surely be a great holiday gift for all you comic-lovers out there.
