Lunchbox Funnies

Tuesday, January 16th, 2007 by

A new all-ages webcomics collective has been launched, called Lunchbox Funnies. From their website:

The term “all-ages” has become something of a mantra for our creators. We’ve each been working towards creating highly entertaining comics that can be enjoyed by beginning readers, teenagers, and adults alike. We’re convinced that “all-ages” doesn’t mean “just for kids,” but rather it’s a label that should apply to entertainment that allows for shared experiences across generational lines. Our creators benefited greatly from quality all-ages entertainment growing up, but these days stories that can be enjoyed by children and adults seem incredibly rare. Lunchbox Funnies wants to change that.

The collective includes comics such as Ryan Estrada’s Aki Alliance, Dave Roman’s Astronaut Elementary, Dean Trippe’s Butterfly, Ovi Nedelcu’s Lunchbox, Ryan Sias’ Silent Kimbly, and more! Or just pop over to the Lunchbox Funnies website and check out all the comics for yourself.

Paul Harmon has just launched a new weekly webcomic, Welcome to Falling Oaks. Paul describes the series:

“When a young girl’s bunny mysteriously becomes monstrously large, the inhabitants of Falling Oaks begin to take it upon themselves to uncover the mystery for their own personal endeavors. As the mystery unfolds so does the veil concealing the strange lives of the people living there. Sometimes it’s best not to know…”

Friday, January 5th, 2007 by

The Three Trees Make a Forest hardcover has landed! Ronnie has the full scoop and the photos to prove it.

Check it out, then pop over to Amazon.com to place your order.

EDIT: Enrico chimes in to add: “if you are in the L.A. area please buy the book at Nucleus Gallery. As much as it’s great to have the book on Amazon enabling people everywhere to order it, I think it’s important when possible to support your local bookstores.

Furthermore Ben and Nucleus have been key to these three trees coming together. ” :)
