Wow. In the span of 24 hours, a full-blown Batgirl meme has exploded on Livejournal. Cartoonists of all stripes and colors have been busy drawin’ all sorts of Batgirls. It all started with Andi Watson showing off some original character designs for an aborted Batgirl project, and then it was quickly picked up by Dean Trippe and Jamie Dee Galey. Since then, it’s spread out to include other artists like Joel Carroll, Clio Chiang, Jen Wang, Vera Brosgol, Andy Runton, Dave Roman, Bryan Lee O’Malley, and many many more.
Hahaha, this whole thing is nuts!
Jamie’s keeping pretty good track of it, I think, based on the link list underneath each post. But yeah, it will soon be out of hand. Natasha just did one, and she has over two thousand lj friends. Time for things to get REALLY crazy.
