Flight at SPX

Thursday, September 22nd, 2005 by

I will be heading down to Bethesda, MD in an official capacity for Flight this Friday and Saturday for this year’s Small Press Expo. Flight alumni Hope Larson will also be there promoting her new book, and several other Flight artists will hopefully be in attendance for some portion of the weekend, so you never know who you might bump into while you’re there!

If you’re coming to the Expo, we will be sharing space with Ryan North at table V-6 (a map of the exhibitor tables can be found here). Keep an eye out for the poster of the new Flight Volume 3 cover. We won’t be too far.

Flight Forums are Down

Monday, September 12th, 2005 by

Looks like the Flight Forums are down due to the power outage in Los Angeles. I think that might also be why Bolt City is down, although the index page seems to be the only one not working. Other pages work fine. Weird. Edit: Ah, it’s a problem with the database being down.

Feathers, Tongues and Hurricane Relief

Tuesday, September 6th, 2005 by

Hope Larson has a gorgeous piece of original art on eBay for auction, where the proceeds will go to the American Red Cross for their hurricane relief efforts. There are a few legalities that she’s going to have to skirt around, what with eBay policies and her being outside the United States (making the auction non-tax deductible), but it will certainly go towards a good cause.

A new Copper comic is up, and so is an art auction by Amy Kim Ganter. All proceeds will go to the Red Cross for the Hurricane Relief effort.

And hey, other Flight people, go ahead and post stuff on here! Heheh. Don’t be shy. :)
